Character Bio:

Vadok was the result of a ponn farr and excellent timing when his mother was on shore leave during the waning years of the Dominion War.  Growing up in a galaxy that had just ended the bloodiest war in modern galactic history, both of his parents impressed a matter of perspective on Vadok and his siblings.   With his mother often away from home serving with distinction in Starfleet it was left to his father to raise Vadok and his three siblings, raised culturally latino with importance stressed on family bonds the alvarez siblings would spend many hours into the night watching the stars and thinking about the ships their dad,a fleet yard engineer, would send into the unknown.  Vadoks mother was the one always cultivating her children's interests in science, herself a decorated science officer in Starfleet and while motherhood didn't come as easily she did her best to give her children a happy home.   When it came to schooling Vadok excelled in the science studies, his mind and aptitude grown from the same branch as his mother.  Given his older brother was already at Academy it was an easy decision for Vadok to make and though his mother would never express it so openly she was proud of the legacy she was cultivating when her children all went to Starfleet Academy.

When joining the student body of the Academy it was an eye opening and enriching experience for Vadok, and as he encountered more and more varied cultures and peoples from across the galaxy his inspiration led him straight into the field of Xenosciences, double majoring in both Xeno Biology and Xeno Botany, while minoring in Chemistry which was his Mothers Doctoral field.  During this time there was a growing conflict inside of Vadok, as he always felt "œtoo human" to associate with Vulcan students and "œtoo alien" to cultivate many friendships with other human cadets.  This sense of otherness was channeled into his studies, learning and rationalizing the unknown, turning uncertainty into scientific fact is what drives Vadok to rise above his own self doubts and the way his peers perceive him.

Previous Role-Playing Experience: I've been roleplaying in various forms, play by post, discord, tabletop games, for the better part of 17 years.  I cut my teeth on forum roleplay when i was still in high school and have successfully run 2 roleplay disorcs for multiple years.  In real life I have also founded and staffed 2 LARPS that are still running to this very day.  I am a Star Trek fan and while I may not have encyclopedic knowledge of the IP, I do believe in the power of story and what Star Trek does in regards to its unique and engaging narratives.

Vadok raised an inquisitive brow, his almond-shaped Vulcan eyebrows coming to life as he contemplated the data on the PADD. The intricate flora of this alien world had fascinated him from the moment they'd set down. The unique blend of bioluminescent plants had secrets to unveil, and Vadok was determined to be their guide to the galactic community.

"I wonder," he muttered softly, his gaze shifting from the PADD to the shimmering canopy above. His fingers danced over the flora, noting the fascinating hues and patterns. Vadok was cautious in his approach, taking a steadying breathe as he grazed his gloved hands over some of the lambent leaves of a large specimen.

A single, beautiful chiming tone rang through the serenity of the forest as all of the plantlife reacted to the stimuli, their patterns and colors dancing and morphing at the mere touch of Vadoks fingers.

"œFascinating" he said, suppressing a smile on his features as he began taking further notations on his PADD.
