Early life

Zex was born on Valentines Day, 27 years ago.  Her parents are Nira and Ilja.  Her mother serves in the Prime Ministry.  Her father was a professor of language at a prestigious university and studied on Earth for several years before Zex was born.  They are both full blooded Deltan's who were devout followers of the seven gods of Delta IV.  They both currently live on Delta IV.

Zex did well in school.  She was an only child and the focus of her parent's love.  She had what most would consider a privileged childhood.

She studied Psychology in College.  Then she went off to Medical School with aspirations of becoming a Psychiatrist.  In her last year of studies, the Deltan met a man and fell head over hills in love.

Sadly, he did not return her affections.  Instead, he had targeted Zex because of who her parents were and because she was perceived as being 'well off.'  In a nutshell, this man turned Zex's world upside down and ultimately caused her to drop out of her Psychiatric rotation and leave Delta in shame.

Fortunately, Zex had completed enough of her studies to 'graduate' as a medial doctor and took a job as a coroner on a nearby planet.  There her new mentor encouraged her to apply to Star Fleet.

Upon entering Star Fleet, Zex took the Oath of Celebacy.  Although recognized as a medical doctor and coroner, Star Fleet did not receive her credentials from Delta IV.  As such, she started offer her Star Fleet career with the requirement that she practice medicine under that watchful eye of an EMH observer.
