Character Bio:
Pre-Borg. The single child of human male Jason Reynolds and female Vulcan T'Krel, Ky Grew up on the OutPost Colony on Heserphat II. His mother was logician working the computational algorithms for deep space transmission and his father was a mechanic, working on the various bits and pieces of equipment around the colony. Life was relatively simple and his childhood was typical, except that his mother insisted that he followed the ways of logic, to cull his strong emotions. Ky eventually decided to continue the pursuit of logic and learning the art of repressing emotions.

The technology that was developed on the colony was deemed interesting enough by the Borg, and they attacked, assimilation the residents and taking the technology. Ky was infected with nano-probes and linked to the Hive-Mind where he lost his sense of self becoming 2 of 12, Primary Nodal-Constituent of Unimatrix 112. His primary function as a Borgling was to act as a communication Node and served upon Tactical cube 1105.

During a confrontation between the Borg and the Federation near Aleph IV, the cube was destroyed. However, his cortical implant malfunctioned and did not self destruct upon the destruction of the cube, along with 4 others and were ejected into the vacuum of space, protected from the explosion by a thick piece of hull. The USS Broken Bow detected the space stranded Borg, brought them on board and began the tedious procedure of De-Borgifying the five individuals. The process of cutting Ky from the Hive mind was difficult, and like most liberated Borg, he had trouble adapting to his new life.

But his time in the Borg, showed him what life without thinking, life without feeling really meant and this caused him to question the Teachings of Sarrik. He conflated that a life of pure logic was nothing short of what the Borg experience, and he made the conscious choice to reject the pursuit of pure logic and embrace emotions. This also sparked in him an interest in the psyche of the mind and with the knowledge of millions of assimilated counselors from various cultures he chose to become one, taking a unique approach of mixing cognitive development with mathematical reasoning, thereby hybridizing the fields of psychology and mathematics. And the best way of doing so, was allowing the Federation to pay for it through enlisting.

Like all liberated Borg, he must regenerate. His retains a Cortical Node, along with a number of implants long his spine. Under his right eye is a large flat implant that extends down to the jaw, and laterally from just behind the chin to behind his ear. He retained his nano-tubuals and nanites.
