Together Forever & Never Apart (Kyle & Olivia)

[Kyle Briggs]

Kyle set the tray across his wife's lap and bent down and kissed her on the forehead.

"Morning beautiful. And you deserve every bit of it." he replied as he moved back around to his side of the bed and took a seat next to her. "So. What do you wanna to today?" he asked.

As Kyle set the tray down across her lap and kissed her forehead, Liv smiled enjoying the gesture and his words, before he then rejoined her in bed. " Mm thank you Baby" she replied as she picked up her fork and speared the sausage, as her husband then asked what she wanted to do for the day.

Pausing before taking a bite, as she thought over his question, then looked towards him.

" How about we pick up Elijah, once we're ready and maybe take a mini overnight vacation using one of those zoo and aquarium programmes, where you get to stay onsite?, I think it would be good for all of us to have that family time, especially with it being his birthday soon".

Kyle released a slight flinch when Liv stabbed her sausage. He gave himself a mental reminder to never get in her bad side.

"That sounds like a fun time." he answered as he took a piece of her bacon. "Once you've finished eating, we'll get dressed. You go grab him and I'll set up the program. Sound good?"

Liv had been completely oblivious to the flinch that her sausage spearing had caused, instead she devoured it, not realising just how hungry she had been. Although when Kyle agreed to her idea and took a piece of her bacon, she grinned at him, happy to share her food and coming up with a plan for the day.

When he suggested that she got Elijah once they had eaten and gotten dressed, whilst he set up the programme, it sounded perfect to her.

" It does and that plan works for me".

With breakfast done and both of them dressed, Liv left to get Elijah and Kyle set to work on the program. Once it was complete, he slapped his comm.

Kyle to Liv. I'll meet you guys at Holodeck Two. 

They arrived almost simultaneously. Kyle reached down and scooped up his son. "Hi thee, little man. You ready for some fun with mommy and daddy?"

He keyed in the command and the doors parted showing them a wall of fish and other sea creatures.

Kyle's heart skipped a beat as his son's eyes lit up and he laughed. "Fishies."

Once the doors closed behind them, a walk through glass tunnel appeared with another surprise.

"And we're going to sleep here with them." he told Elijah.

Following her husband and son into the holodeck, it took Liv a moment or two to fully realise, what her husband had done. Thinking that he had certainly outdone himself with the programme, that he had picked and loved not only what she was seeing but also Elijah's reaction to the fish and sea creatures.

Fascinated by what she was seeing, before the next surprise was revealed when the walk through tunnel appeared.

" You've outdone yourself Babe, this is perfect" she said as Elijah reacted to the news that they would be staying here.

" Your son agrees too".

Still holding Elijah in one arm, Kyle pulled Liv in with his other and gave her a kiss and then one to his son.

"I'm glad you both like it. Now. What do you go see first?" he asked.

[Olivia Briggs]

The kiss was met with love and feeling as Kyle pulled her into him, before he kissed their son. Loving this moment of them all being together and her husband's reaction to how much they both liked his aquarium surprise.

" It's brilliant and hmm good question" she replied, before Elijah beat her too it by shouting.

" Sharks, Daddy!".

Liv smiled at their son's enthusiasm as she looked to her husband.

" Sharks it is then".

[Kyle Briggs]

"Okay. Sharks." Kyle agreed. "Sign says they're this way. You wanna walk like a big boy?"

"Walk."

Kyle let his son down and took his hand. "And now I have a free hand for mommy as well." Kyle said as he extended his other one to Liv. "Shall we?"

[Olivia Briggs]

As much as she wanted to make the most of Elijah being little, the fact he was getting so clever and independent was both adorable and sad to see. However she loved how Kyle was with him and as he let him down to take hold of his hand, she couldn't help but smile.

That smile remained as Kyle held out his free hand towards her, which she promptly took it and answered him.

" Oh yes, lead the way Babe".

As they approached what the aquarium had named Shark Lagoon, the first thing they couldn't help but see was an enormous whale shark.

"Look at the size of that one, Little Man." Kyle said as he picked Elijah up once more so that he could get a better look.

[Olivia Briggs]

" Wow, big shark Daddy!" Elijah exclaimed happily as Kyle picked him up. This naturally made Liv smile as she moved closer to her favourite boys and to also take in what was a a truly majestic creature.

" It is indeed, Little Man" she replied as she then whispered to Kyle playfully.

" We're going to end up spending a fortune at the gift shop".

Shifting his son to one side, Kyle wrapped his other arm around Liv.

"That's fine. He's worth it." he teased.

"Look, Daddy. Another shark."

Elijah's excitement was contagious. Kyle smiled and answered his son. "That one is called a Hammerhead."

[Olivia Briggs]

" He definitely is" she replied as Kyle then wrapped his arm around her. Elijah's continued excitement as he spotted another shark was just priceless, especially as Kyle answered him.

" Hamm.... her... head".

Liv grinned at Elijah's attempt, " Clever Boy".

As they watched the sharks swim around, Kyle's eyes widened as big as Elijah's as one of his favorite sea creatures came near the glass.

"Look there, buddy. That's one of daddy's favorites right there." he said as he pointed out the enormous sea turtle that was approaching.
