Torra accepted Don's hand and walked with him towards the entrance and watching wide-eyed as they were greeted somewhat erroneously as party of the Dalton party.  "Who are the Dalton's" she asked feeling a little uncertain even in a holodeck problem about accepting something meant for someone else.

The bracelet of paper encircling her wrist was odd but she accepted it as part of the experience.  Then following his example she did the same for him as he told her about never having been to a carnival before.  That made Torra even more happy at being able to share the new experience with him.

Hearing that he wanted her to select what ride - or 'attraction' as they were called by the signage - they should go on first, Torra looked about assessingly.  Nothing too fast or with too much chance of dizziness.  She didn't want to be sick on their date.

She was so excited that she'd quite forgotten about this being a double-date... until she here Nira calling out to her.  She turned around to see the couple approaching and waved to them even as they were greeted by the same program character as had greeted her and Don informing them that they too were listed as VIP's of Dalton and handed Nira and Evandav the complimentary tokens and passes.

By the time the couple reached Don and Torra they too were handed off paper bracelets.

"Hello Nira.. Helllo Evandav.  I'm so glad you both could make it.   Doesn't this look wonderful and thanks to Dalton... we get free rides and food.    I'd like to begin with something simple and not too dizzying."

The mixed screams of terrors and enjoyment had Torra uncertain of whether she was going to enjoy most of the thrill rides.

"Does anyone have a suggestion?"

"The Daltons is a Dalton," Don shared. "He is one of the new recruit in my department. Cadet Walter Dalton. Fresh from the academy. During out first meet up. Cadet Dalton shared me about how he like carnivals. That made me ask. That was how I learn about this program."
Don was happy to see the couple had shown up. "Well you two look dashing and clever," he commented them. "Very glad to see you both made it."

"Seems like they being torture when you hear them at first," he shared.

Don was looking around he was not sure. "I think we should go slow at first. Um. What about that ride," Don had said as he was looking at the direction of carousel wheel. There was painted horses, there was even a pair of sea monsters. There was sleds to be ridden. Even magic unicorns too.

A child walked by as she looked up at Torra. "Wow. Mom its a Centaur!" the child yelled to his mother. The child was way off. A Centaur was torso up bare chested male and the rest was horse. The mother apologize of her child mistaken. As they walked away mother said, not centaur but a Satyr. Again she to was wrong. Satyr was a half male upper body, with goat horns and the rest goat hinder legs. She was close but she gets no prize.

Don was puzzled. "Least the child was blown away by your awesome beauty love," he tenderly told Torra.

Evandav held onto her arm the entire way through to the holodeck, at times, resting his head against her shoulders at times as if it was a pillow. The trip didn't take long and so they met Torra and Don at the holodeck. Taking a look around, he admitted that the scenery was certainly something which he could admire. The fun of the fair! The rides, the sights, the smells, all combined to create a wonderful, fun atmosphere. An atmosphere far from the rigours of the ship. Greeting Torra and Don, he shouted out
"Hey guys!" Before walking up to them. He suggested
"We should probably go on any scary or fast rides first before eating.
Like that one" before pointing to the biggest and fastest rollercoaster in the park.

Nira loved that Evandev was resting his head on her shoulders like a pillow. She wondered, if when they got out of the holodeck, that he'd do it again when her shoulders were bare.

At the holodeck, Nira wondered at the different choices offered. She had never been to a carnival before, so she didn't know what to expect. She looked at Don's choice...a carousel. A little slow and perhaps a little dizzying. Evandev's choice...the biggest roller coaster he could pick out. Nira felt that she'd like a bit of a thrill; she had enjoyed doing the Flying Tigers program with Don and Commander Galloway, before his promotion to Captain, had enjoyed the thrill of flying.

"We could go with that, Evandev," said Nira, stroking a finger along his shoulder. "Do it first before we've eaten, a wise course of action. Although, we can try that later," she added, pointing to a tunnel-of-love ride nearby. Seemed something fitting to do later on, two couples in a carnival.

Even saying his name felt so pleasurable to Nira. She wondered, once they left the holodeck, that she would pose a question: Of Evandev being Nira's Imzadi. But Nira felt she'd have to get to know him a bit more before that, that they'd have to be in a good long enough relationship for that.

The mother's correcting response earned a slight frown though.  If one attempts to correct a child they should at least do with the proper information.   Don's comment soothed her slight upset and she smiled again tolerantly.   "All they see is the horns.  But that you for your kind word, my love."

Evandav's suggestion, which was supported by Nira, that they should go on the scary and fast rides first before eating – went against Torra initial thought. But perhaps they had a point.  She looked to Don knowing he had left the decision to him but was hopeful for his advice.

She considered.   Avoiding the fast rides and 'scary' rides was not an option... Torra wanted to experience the whole of the carnival.  If Evandav said it was best to do those first, she would trust her friend  - perhaps he had been to one in the past and was speaking from experience.

"Okay.  We will do the .... Sky Scream Roller Coaster" she read the name from attraction billboard. "Together."

Taking Don's hand she lead the way to the ride and because of their bracelets they got to skip most of the line-up and were next up for the ride.  Torra was a bit nervous.  The screams of terror she heard had her wondering if this really was enjoyable.

Those carts do awful small and not much to it. To him it looked very unsafe. But he saw it with his own eyes how safe it could be. What if one thing goes bad. They all spin and die.

Well it sounded better in its original form. Approaching the queue, the smell wasn't brilliant, and the concept of the ride wasn't revolutionary. Still, he allowed the couple to go first, and he said

Inside, she put the restraint on, and with one hand, she gripped the forward bar on the car and with the other, she embraced Evandev.

"Thrilling, isn't it?" she asked. "And we'd best hold on tight, especially to each other."

This same pilot, reckless at times as he was, would have tendencies to fly sharply at extreme speeds but bank up at the last minute.  Nira, of course, was terrified at first, but then she let out a shout that made things better as she dove down:

" ALLAH HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!! "

And that was what she shouted when the roller coaster fell. Inwardly, in her mind, however, the difference is what while shuttles, like the common starship, came with artificial gravity, these cars had no artificial gravity, and inwardly, Nira kept thinking, almost fearfully, hoping inwardly that the safety protocols were on.

His knuckles would whiten as he clenched hard on the handle bar. For a racing space ship he had not welcomed the ride. There was crazy people behind holding their hands up, yelling and having much more fun.

Being so close up was not the greatest choice. The cart was not much big on these tiny tracks. Then it took a sharp turn, then went up like a jerking fast speed, then down, and into a loop which made him feel like flying on earth, then it went up, down, and spun in a cork screw later.

As the carts started to slow down Don looked at his wife to see her expression. When she looked at him he looked like a mess like a train wreck.

"That was fun!" he lied. The man was trying to play cool cause he was not wanting to feel shame front Evan and Nira. "We can go later. Your right. That was a good idea to go first," he shared.

He had helped his wife to get out. His body was feeling the effects still. Then his stomach was not doing so well. He had snack before this. "I am feeling ill, but it will pass."

"Everybody okay if our next ride be the Tunnel of Love?" she asked, batting her eyelids and rolling a shoulder coyly at Evandev.

Evandav's jumped into the rollercoaster with great enthusiasm at first, and with a fairly naive view that: surely this would be alright, even fun! He had experienced Borg; savage, brutal species who posed huge dangers to the crew of Discovery and the Federation. Surely it wouldn't be much of an ask to head down in a safe box at speed. And during the trip upwards these thoughts were confirmed! As they approached the crest of the peak of the ride, he enjoyed the view which surrounded him.

Then they dropped.

"Tunnel of love?" Don asked Nira. "There is no way they have something like tha---" there it was a ride that had the words 'tunnel of love' "I'll be...but how we know it is not a scary ride?" he arched an eye brow.

Nira's shout helped to change Torra's alarmed bleat into more of a similar shout of exhilaration.  She still however clung to Donny's hand.

As the carts started to slow down Don looked at his wife to see her expression. When she looked at him he looked like a mess like a train wreck.

"That was fun!" he lied. The man was trying to play cool cause he was not wanting to feel shame front Evan and Nira. "We can go later. Your right. That was a good idea to go first," he shared.

He had helped his wife to get out. His body was feeling the effects still. Then his stomach was not doing so well. He had snack before this. "I am feeling ill, but it will pass."

After the ride came to a stop Torra could see Don didn't look so well, yet still he help her out of the cramped car.   She looked to him in endearingly as he was honest with her about how he felt.  She was thinking they should sit out the next ride... until she heard which ride was being suggested...

Nira nodded, stumbling a little.

"I can agree," she said. "Let's let our next one be a more gentler ride."

Looking around, she could still see the Tunnel of Love in the distance.

"Everybody okay if our next ride be the Tunnel of Love?" she asked, batting her eyelids and rolling a shoulder coyly at Evandev.

As they began to talk about their next option, he began nodding almost profusely.
"œYes. A very good idea. I approve" he said with more relief

"I am pretty impress how gutsy those people where in that time," Don added. They even survived that year 2020 with monkeys running the world.

"Tunnel of love?" Don asked Nira. "There is no way they have something like tha---" there it was a ride that had the words 'tunnel of love' "I'll be...but how we know it is not a scary ride?" he arched an eye brow.

Torra looked at the water boat ride.  It seemed innocuous enough.

She looked to Don.  "It sounds romantic... but if you aren't feeling well.  We can maybe instead hold off on the ride and instead play a game?  There seems to be plenty of them."

Nira's shout helped to change Torra's alarmed bleat into more of a similar shout of exhilaration.  She still however clung to Donny's hand.

Don had guided Torra and then gang to the Love Tunnel. The line of couples as long. They had the man notice they had the bracelets and guided them ahead of the line.

The handsome husband guided his love to the little boat. The boat was small. That had to make it romantic. He was puzzled as they got to the boat.

He leaned to the man who was guiding them. He whispered to the fellow. "So how does this work? Women go first?" he asked.

"Depends my friend," the fellow answered in a United States southern twang from deep Georgia. "You go first on this one. The boat might tip over when you get in. You balance it and guide her in. If she topples. There is a good chance she fall on you. And that is romantic," he winked.

"Well, I see," Don answered back. That would mean Torra would be able to get out first. This seemed complicated to him. There was the time she will have to get out. What if she toppled out and fall down. How would he help her from there?

Don stepped down on the boat. Amazing to his surprise. The damn thing was not bad. He was standing with his knees bent to keep balance. The loving man held his hand out to his wife. "Gentle love," he told her. "A little rocky there as you step in."
