Deputy Rounds (Nira and Safeta)

As Nira got into her office, she once again felt a bout of nostalgia. In the past, she was always at the office filling in for Commander Felder when he was on the bridge. Sometimes she even helped him with the paperwork. Now Felder was dead. And it was her office now. Not for the first time, Nira realized she missed not just one, but two departmental heads. She missed Felder in light of his death. And she missed Commander Aune. She especially felt it whenever she saw Mister Graham. She imagined he was XO of some ship by now.

Ordinarily, she was working on her paperwork or working on drills and department reports. But today, she wasn't. She was, in fact, expecting somebody important to her, department-wise.

She had summoned Safeta Pardek to her office to deputize her. Later, she planned to do a round of sparring with her as a way of expanding combat skills, and she was sure Pardek could teach her a thing or two.
