Mahak fiercely returned her kiss, sliding a hand up to her neck and cheek, cupping her skin. Her lips were full and soft. His mouth opened without him telling it to do so. The kiss was sweet and went on and on.

When they finally parted Mahak was panting just a little, his breathing having grown ragged. His dark and expressive eyes were locked onto hers, and his skin was tinged a slight green.

"You...have a way of making me forget myself, Kali." Notice he didn't say that it was illogical or that he didn't enjoy it.

She tasted his early morning tea. It wasn't bad at all. He deepened the kiss, she reveled in it with a kittenish sound in her throat, and thought well damn. They couldn't even make it two hours into shift without blindly reaching for the other.

It was a problem. She didn't care. Mahak looked completely undone when he pulled them away, even when a strangled sound of protest left her throat.

"You started it," she grumbled. And it was true. The moment his control lapsed in the starbase, that was pretty much it. For both of them. Her fingers brushed up the stubble of his jaw, waiting him to compose - and for her to do the same. She almost didn't register how hard she was breathing.

"And don't say this is a problem." Because if indulging him was some kind of test of control, she practically failed it. They were lucky today; their shifts didn't always line up together unless it was a mission priority. Splitting them up permanently - when their synergy was becoming legendary in their department - was something she'd seriously mourn.

If she had to refrain to keep it that way, so she could playfully tease him during missions, or argue stupid semantics, or everything in-between that made them friends in the first place, she would.

"I can do this. I can stop." Like a hypocrite, she kissed him again. "It's a work in progress." And when she kissed him a third time, she sheepishly sat back to fight the urge to lunge at him again. "I can quit anytime, you know." A big damn lie. She was screwed.

Her teasing was having its usual confusing effect on him. Humans and their humor. Mahak would never understand it.

"I would not enjoy it if you left me, Kali." He said blandly. "I believe that we will be more fulfilled if we remained together."

When she commenced to kissing him more and more he returned it, and felt his control slipping. Just when Mahak thought he couldn't take anymore his discipline reasserted itself. He firmly grasped her by her biceps and pushed her back against the chair, a little roughly.

The prospect of manhandling her just a bit wasn't exactly calming things down for him, but he didn't get into all that in his own head.

"Kali, perhaps we should," Kiss. "Separate until the end of our" kiss "duty shifts seeing as how we are no longer scheduled" kiss" "to be together for the remainder of the work day."

"I would not enjoy it if you left me, Kali." He said blandly. "I believe that we will be more fulfilled if we remained together."

She wanted to poke fun at his tone, but his words left her a bit stirred, almost like a spell. "You put up a convincing argument." He could demand the world of her right now and she'd give it to him at this point.

He roughly pulled her aloft, but she craved the way she was manhandled and showed it. She bent as far as she could forward to disobey him for another kiss.

Just one. Two. Three. Four. Her nails sank further into his skin the longer he refused her. An instinctual whine was his answer, even when her mind completely agreed. She'll never get everything done with his gaze bearing down on her like this.

Five minutes. Sense returned the longer he held her away. "Don't wanna." And that was as eloquent as she could get. She tested his strength by squirming. Not even an inch. She tried not to think about the possible opportunities that came with it.

Kali sighed in defeat, but for a completely different reason. "Okay." She tried to tug herself off, but his grip on her was unrelenting. "A little help?" Her question was still thick and playful.

Mahak's replies to all of her words was muffled in the kisses he was planting on her despite his own recommendation. Each time she wriggled to try to get free he merely held her tighter.

Finally, after a long time, he disentangled himself from her and fixed his hair and raked his nails through her's, tugging on it roughly.

"You don't want to look like you've been thrown over your desk," He said as he did his Vulcan best to fix human female hair...but all he was doing was curling it and pulling on it,  handful or a few fingers full of curls being saucily tugged. It was clear he didn't know the first thing about doing anyone's hair but his own.

Kali Reyes

A sharp, tiny cry came unbidden the moment he seized her hair. It was a weak point for her and he knew this, took advantage of it. For every curl he got a hold of, two of her brain cells refused to fire. "Not very effective." But she had a feeling his intent was anything but making her presentable.

Not that she was complaining. For every rough tug, she followed through eagerly. Her throat bared for him. "Mahak." Her voice cracked. "Two minutes."

Reluctantly, he asked the computer for the time and she was correct, they had to be back on duty in two minutes.

Mahak stopped pulling her hair and instead ran his thumbs along her eyebrows, her lips, her cheekbones, before planting a final kiss on her forehead.

He readied himself by fixing his uniform and checking her's over as well. "I do not believe that anyone would be able to tell you were so embraced by me."

Kali Reyes

Her ponytail was completely undone by meticulous fingers and unsavory intent. She reveled in it for a moment while he tenderly kissed her and then went back to clinically fixing himself like it was no big thing.

It was flipping amazing.

The chronometer changed to one minute, and she hastily combed out her hair with her own fingers to get it into some sort of order. She paused and let him examine her.

"I do not believe that anyone would be able to tell you were so embraced by me."

"Such a shame," she teased. "Some humans enjoy showing off what they possess." Her hair tie cleanly snapped in place as she said so and looked just as impeccable as ever.

"But if I possessed you you would know." Mahak leaned over and just as the chronometer struck the time planted a kiss onto her full lips just as his hand smacked her right on the full bum.

With that surprise out of the way, the suddenly businesslike and on duty Vulcan said, "Chief" and walked out of her office.

Kali Reyes

An undignified squeak got Kali good and, by the time she could even process what the hell happened, Mahak smoothly walked out. She held her hips in alarm and then suddenly let out a bark of disbelieving laughter before the doors slid shut.

"God give me strength," she told herself in a bit of awe. "This Vulcan's gonna kill me." In the best way possible. Her console started to beep for her attention and really, that was the only highlight of the shift.
