Certainly they were having a good laugh about it, Lennox watched as Kali laughed even harder from him laughing. It was on par with the fun he had when being in the military, the laughs he had and the memories came flooding back only widened his smile.

He certainly did not expect Kali to hug him, but there was no argument from him as he was showered with compliments, as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders in return. Lennox's cheeks grew redder with, perhaps, embarrassment from the praise that ranked him higher than the chief. "Ye better not be gettin' my accent through osmosis." Lennox mock-warned, though he could not stop the idea of Kali walking around with a Scottish accent as he broke down back into laughter.

Her thoughts buzzed with warmth, raucous laughter, and liquor, so she never understood why this wasn't a patented form of therapy. But it didn't matter, or maybe it did, or it was just the alcohol that made her thoughts go from ten light years a minute back down to a sluggish normal prance. It was nice for all the buzzing equations in her head to quiet down for once.

The grin on her face was definitely not enhanced by the drink and neither was his admission about his accent. "Oh my god. Does that mean your accent isn't really an accent?!" What if the Scottish brogue wasn't anything more than being constantly drunk all the time? She should pen this hypothesis to Memory Alpha and break into the linguistic board about this... if she remembered it in the morning of course.

His brows furrowed together as he tried to get to the bottom of the sentence that Kali had just questioned, though, his smile still remained on his face all the while he began thinking. "I dunnae know 'hat yer on 'bout, lass. Are ye askin' 'hether I put 'he accent on fer fun?"

Kali pursed her lips and tried to put her jumbled thoughts to words. The drink came and washed away her new thesis like a shoreline at high tide. "Your accent is fun," she said with a sigh. "I love your accent. That's all I've got, ya big Scottish teddy bear." She patted his sides with appreciation. "Wait... why are you standing again?"

He couldn't help but continue grinning, there was work to do but he needed to look after the person in charge of looking after everyone else and certainly was rather inwardly flattered by the fact he was being called a 'teddy bear' before finding himself folding with laughter as Kali questioned why in the first place he had been standing.

Lennox waved it off, "I think ye need te be taken te yer bedroom, missus. Who'd be lookin' after us an' makin' sure shit stays in order without ye at 'he 'elm?"
