Jettis grinned, leaning forward in his seat excitedly as she spoke of the Skycycle. "Update me vhen you finahlly get it fully up 'n runnin'." He commented, leaning back in his seat and downing his drink. Glancing down at it, he raised a brow, as if offended merely by the fact that it was empty.

"Deal." He shrugged, folding his arms against his chest. "It's only fair after all." His grin turned into a sly smirk, that mischievous sparkle in his eye. "Maybe v'one day I'll manage to haggle it off you though."
Turning his head, he glanced from his bottle, back to the bar, before pushing his chair out and standing. "Einen Augenblick." He commented, as he sashayed over to the bar, rather than screaming at  Roland from across the room.

"Aye Roland, gimmea Corona."

Kyan looked at his cards. His face up card was a ten. His hole card was a ten as well. The Human who taught him the game said that you ought to never split them. But he generally did. Of course he wasn't at a casino now, and was playing against two people. Decisions..... He decided to talk to the Chief til Jettis returned and mull it over.

"You ride the skycycle on the holodeck? I have a zombie program that I found. It's a whole planet fill with'em. Halcyon it's called. I read about this mission from the US Hawking where they found it. And there was an evil guy who did the whole thing and then planted himself inside the computer or something. You should bring it to the holodeck and do the zombie program sometime."

Jettis ran for more alcohol, but Kali was too preoccupied frowning at her hand. A pair wasn't going to win her squat unless the other two had nothing on the table.

Sure enough, she lost.

Kali's nose wrinkled at the idea, however intriguing it sounded. "You want to put my baby through its paces by outrunning dirty zombies?"

Kyan shook his head. "No. I wanna put it through it's paces by killing dirty zombies. Plus... you don't need a skycycle to outrun them. A fat grup could do that on his own."

That was even more horrifying. "You want to run over zombies with my spanking new skybike?!" She underestimated how crazy Kyan was. It was kind of impressive.

"Sure and it's only holo zombies." Kyan shrugged. "They won't leave no blood or guts on it."

Jettis soon returned to the table with his drink in his hand. "What's thiz about zombies?" he inquired innocently. Man, you leave for a second and those two were already plotting an apocalypse. And apparently using the skybike to fight through it.

Flopping into his seat, he peeked at his other card, before looking up at Kali and Kyan. Another nine. At least he hadn't gone bust, but an eighteen left a considerable gap for them to wiggle through. But hitting could end up screwing him over. Deciding to think on it for another few minutes, he started drinking his beer, listening to Kali and Kyan's conversation in interest.

Kali abandoned her hand and stared at the two of them because she wasn't sure if this was the greatest idea in the world or just the liquor talking.

Maybe a bit of column A and B.

"Reminds me of that quarantine planet we passed in the Agrius system," Kali said with a conspiratory whisper. "The pre-warp civilization was completely wiped out because of that neural degenerative nanovirus. Now that's the real deal."

"We should go back. I'll bet there's a ton of treasures!"

Jettis' eyebrow somehow managed to climb higher in slight alarm. He didn't know how he had gotten so far out of the loop, but he would like to sidle back into it somehow.
"Quarantine planet? Yikez, that really iz zombie planet." Eyes flickering to Kyan as he spoke, his voice was barely below a bellowing laugh.

"You two can go back if you'd like. I for one, vant to keep all of my mental facultiez, thankz." His nose wrinkled, a dimple appearing as his mouth managed to disappear into one straight line. Amused, he was not.

Unsure if the liquor was making her hallucinate, but Kali's eyes widened in disbelief. "Treasure? I think the greatest treasure there would be busted up vehicles and a packet of crackers. Besides, the planet's quarantined. Ain't no way they'll let us hover in its stratosphere, let alone the ground itself."

"You're not gonna have any left after tonight, I'll promise you that." Kali already finished off her case and itched to bring back more. And if they don't die, they'll regret it severely in the morning.

Jettis scoffed, the competition flaring back up. "I've done vorse and survived." He raised an eyebrow, absently taking another swig of his drink. "I think you have too." He observed, toying with the neck of the bottle. Tilting his head, he grinned. "Ich bin kaum noch betrunken. Ich habe noch nicht gestottert.*" He puffed out his chest slightly, as if his feat were some grand accomplishment.
"Das ist nichts für uns beide*. So wha'daya say, round two?"

* I'm hardly drunk yet. I haven't stuttered yet
* this is nothing for either of us
