Any relevant comments: My current professional situation being what it is , i'm finding a lack of general motivation regarding a lot of things right now , and written RPG is one of them . The Discovery crew is absolutely lovely and i'm really glad i tagged along for a little while but i don't want to be a burden and " that " person who randomly stops posting for a week or two and then comes back having no clue what happened during that time , again :/

I haven't posted in a few days and i won't be available for at least a solid extra week due to some Props i have the finish real soon as trophies for a local Warhammer tournament . I'm having issues upon issues with them and very little time to be on my computer the closer we are to the Tournament date . My apologies

I just came back from a Week End abroad to see Discovery has started a new mission , so i would like to be re-activated and tag along .
My personal situation is still ... not great , but it should at least be all right for me to participate and be able to post regularly

So , i would like to remain aboard Discovery , but move to Ops to fill in the spot since Sec/Tac is currently full .

It had been several days since their last mission and their most unfortunate encounter with a most unusual and less than friendly entity near the Neutral Zone . What a first assignment this turned out to be ! Deryn hadn't expected to end up in such an atypical situation mere days after she stepped aboard the USS Discovery , but at least she wasn't disappointed . But the situation wasn't all roses . While she had no issues with most of the Crew , she found herself to be at odds with one of the Ship's Doctors , a Bajoran man a little less than twice her age , who had lived under the Occupation . She never expected him to like her , or any other Bajoran of the Crew , but she had come to expect a little self-restraint from Bajorans wearing a Starfleet uniform , just as she had to show self-restraint when encountering one of the few Klingons who had decided to wear the Uniform instead of rampaging throughout the Galaxy slaughtering some poor souls for " Honour " . But than Bajoran Doctor - Juraan Ren was his name - seemed so stuck in the past that he could simply not bear serving on the same Ship as her , regardless of the fact that Deryn was born two years after the Occupation had ended , and the Cardassians retreated from Bajor .

And now the Dear Doctor was in possession of her Type-2 Phaser which she had lent him on an Away mission , not after a small incident right in front of the First Officer who had immediately picked up on the hostility between the two individuals . She had expected the Doc to send someone else her way with her Phaser , so he would save himself the trouble of seeing the young Cardassian Ensign again , but he had done no such thing , and Deryn very much wanted to get her Phaser back .

Deryn went to Sick Bay , expecting to find Juraan at his station , but was disappointed to notice his absence . She had no intention of going to Sick Bay everyday hoping to bump into him , and she didn't specifically relish the thought of even seeing him at all , but she wanted to get this business over with as soon as possible .

She tapped her combadge and enquired about the Doctor's location and sighted heavily when the Computer's answer came . He was in his quarters , that was just great ... At least when people were around , the Doc made some sort of efforts to behave , but right now he was alone and would be prone to all kinds of outbursts . Oh well , it's not like it was going to be a pleasant encounter anyway , no matter the location .

When she arrived in front of his quarters , Deryn braced herself and knocked on the door three times in rapid succession . She had her hands joined in her back and a stern , neutral expression on her face .
