[Bridge]

"Mortier to Bridge. When you have the time, you should send a security team to inspect Torpedo Tube 1."

The Ensign looked up from his screens as this came over the comms and gave a slight frown, before glancing over at the Chief as she swore. "Ensign, you found it, you may check it out. You may take your Security team."

He gave a slight nod in acknowledgement, "Roger that, Chief." He added as the two security crewmen moved over to him as he continued to work his console. He glanced over at the Commander as he asked for a report, but didn't have the time to answer before everything kicked off and the Captain sent her First Officer to Engineering.

Once everything settled down and the Captain had ordered the ship to take a minute, he stepped away from his station and the three members of Security strode over to the turbolift and entered, the doors closing quickly and quietly behind them, following the Commander to Engineering.

[Main Engineering]

They exited the lift and turned the corner to the main chamber as the Commander once again asked for a report, this time from the chief Engineer on duty. They stopped and waited to hear what had to be said before figuring out how and where to proceed.

[Bridge]

As soon as the Chief had offered up the vacant console next to her, he stepped forward and brought up the needed display screens. Not knowing most of the people in the area, he remained silent on the matters playing out before him until he, or someone with more authority, deemed it necessary for him to step in. Still keeping an eye on the events happening on the Bridge, he let out a soft sigh as his eyes flickered to the Captain, and then to the central view-screen.

"Torpedo tubes two and three are loaded at maximum. Tube one is down due to a reoccurring malfunction. No further details given."

[Bridge - USS Tempest]

The Ensign walked through the turbo-lift doors and entered the Bridge, flanked by two Security Crewman. Taking a moment to straighten out his already pristine unfiron, he took a cursory look around and caught the tail end of the conversation between the Commander and the fellow Ensign, a slight frown crossing his face as he registered what was being said. "Ensign Masters, you are hereby relieved of duty for insubordination. I will also be filing a formal report over your conduct."

He gave a slight look to the men behind him, before he continued forward to stand behind and slightly to the right of his fellow Sec/Tac colleague at the Tactical consoles.

"Chief." He acknowledged her quietly, a little unsure as to the protocol of addressing a person of superior position, but not rank, in his own Department. Ignoring this for the time being, he leaned forward, his eyes easily seeing over her smaller frame to the read out in front, before moving up to the central view screen. "Uncharted space," He said after a moment, more toward the Crewmen behind him, but also including the Petty Officer in his musings, "If there was such a thing as a tactical nightmare; that's it, right there."

You're the Chief; it's entirely up to you, I don't mind. Also...am I posting as a Cadet or as an Ensign? 

From what I wrote for his bio, it fits that he'd be more suited for Tactical, but could also do Security when needed too, so this should work fairly well.
