Character Bio:
Abas was born, like most Aenar, on the ice moon of Andoria's northern wastes. The occasion was not particularly noteworthy - a nice, windswept day on the surface with a high in the mid-negative 40s. His childhood was about what one would expect, learning to navigate and survive the barren rock that he called home and honing his telepathic abilities. He even learned the ways of the Ushann-tor, although strictly for its intended mining purpose and not the savage combat often associated with the device. It was years before he even made it outside of the dampening field that still protected and hid his home, to feel the radience of the sun and the bite of the uninterrupted wind on his skin.

To most, to leave home would be incomprehensible. To Abas, however, he drempt of what was beyond. Aenar philosohpy was to spread peace in life, a stark counterbalance from the more warlike and aggressive nature still seen in the Andorian cousins who shared the ice moon. But, he felt called to do more than to sit. What good was peace if you did not share it with others, to go out into the chaotic universe and try and bring parts of it back together? When the galaxy seemed hell-bent on tearing itself apart, what was the harm in putting some of it back together?

So, he'd left home and traveled the planet, learning what he could. He entered medical school in the city of Laikan, earning a degree that roughgly translated to a nursing program. From there, he spent two years in the Andorian guard as a medic, before enlisted in Starfleet and shipping out to points unknown. The frontier was out there, after all, and his curiosity would not be abated - and his purpose unknown - until he found it in the stars.

=/\= Computer, What is the current temperature? =/\=

The question hung in the air for only a microsecond before the sing-song voice of the computer happily beeped back at him. =/\= The internal temperature is 15 degrees centigrade =/\=. Hot. Far too hot. It was the worst part of being away from home - the constant, insufferable heat that he had to deal with every day. =/\= Lower the room's temperature by... eighteen degrees =/\= he ordered, which the computer propmtly blatted out a reply. =/\= Unable to comply. Specified temperature is below approved temperature ranges. =/\=

Confounded machine! How anyone worked like this was hard to understand. But, deal with it he shall. The last few years he'd spent away from home had taught him a great many things. The logic of Vulcans. The anger of Tellarites. The adaptability of Humans. So different, and yet, so similar. Everyone had their own needs. Their own desires. And many of them... their own follys that he had to continually pick up after. But, that was his calling. To put things the way they should be. He grabbed the plasma scalpel off of the tray, before returning to his work. Many people found labwork boring, but these cell cultures, they were quite interesting. He dug back into his work, and soon the heat was all but forgotten. Nothing but a quiet medical lab, his tools, and a cell culture to poke and prod. He could stay here for hours...
