Kirok

Quote from: Silverback on July 17, 2021, 07:59:12 PM

"Yes, Admiral.  I still make this request.  I know you are a wise spirit in a darkness devoid of light.  Death to my people is natural but causing death willingly has its own price on the Mutago responsible.  No one should be around me when and if this comes to pass." Silver stated as he wished to be alone when this happens.  "Every culture has there own way of atonement.  I am essentially asking for mine when it comes, people are safe." Silver said as the Admiral didnt understand the severity of this atonement.

[Courtroom]

Kirok dipped his head.  Despite his stoic nature, he was sad that it had come to this.  And when Vulcan's allowed themselves to fell they felt more strongly than other.

I took him a full minute to get himself under control.  That is 60 long seconds of attempted to put his emotional blockers back into place.  Something that this half Vulcan had been struggling with these past few months.

"Silverback.  It is never good when Star Fleet looses an officer.  I am, indeed, saddened.

But out of compassion, I will accept your request.  You may return home" he said.

For whatever reason that did not seem to be enough.  Not to his Betazoid side.  "I will take you there myself" he added so sooth his other half.

GRENADE! Shazam was stunned when Cleroux had mentioned that Silverback had wanted to use Grenades! Grenades were more than enough.

Very aggressive choice he placed in his notes. He was now seeing that Silverback's career was nearly complete and finished. The words was murder to the pirate. It was indeed a poor choice and lack of Critical thinking under pressure. He had hoped what was said in the courtroom would stay in the courtroom. This alone can put a huge dent in relationships with other ambassadors. Someone can use that to break treaties in Starfleet. This can be a possible threat.

Silverback indeed insulted other crew members by calling them cowards. That was very unreal. A truly poor choice. Who trained him? He had hoped they would look into that record too.

There was no mention of remorse of the lost. Each person who died had a loved one or friends. They had a circle of people who were influenced by ALL 18 people but he could not say anything of the loss and the pain he had caused on those influences. They had 18 deaths and each person could have 10 individuals who knew them. That was 180 people and more who woke up to find that person was now gone forever. Terrible. No remorse to those victims. He was depressed from that. Terrible.

Worse, he seems to be more concerned about himself. He shook his head and sighed. This could be why he could not think about PRESERVING LIFE and think proper of actions.

He had wanted PITY!!!! How can they give pity when Silverback could not show empathy for the loss of those who died and again those victims who lost their family or friends. Now all those 180 plus people will need counseling if they get their hands on this case.

And he wants them to punish him the way he wants. Sadly, he was going to pass these notes to the person who needs it. If he was a counselor for this...he would demand he would not be Silverback's counselor. Unless he can meditate for a year and recuperate from the shock of grenade and calling fellow crew members cowards and not remorse. Pathetic.

And asking for death is indeed a coward. He needs to live with his mistake. The looks at what people will give Silverback when they see him. That was the beauty of doing stupid stuff you win stupid prizes!!!

They let SIlverback leave. Ridiculous. Terrible. They should keep him for a while. He had wondered what his people would do Silverback. He was glad it was over. Maybe this will be a good foundation for future starfleet officers to be careful of their actions!

The Counselor was upset and he got up and walked out. He did not want to hear the rest. It was nonsense. Where the lesson is for Silverback. This could be for record for future officers not to make the same mistake!

It was hard for Shazham now because he was seeing images of sad, shocked faces of the people who lost their loved ones. He prayed there were no kids. Those big sad eyes will be looking at Starfleet never the same. Possible ruining future cadets joining. Truly sad.

[Captain's Ready Room - USS Challenger]

"Captain's Log. Stardate: 76543.3. The Challenger has just departed Starbase 84 after five days in the station's spacedock." Ian began as he looked out as the ship moved along one of the departure corridors from the busy installation. "My chief engineer is almost giddy regardin' the maintenance, calibrations and upgrades she was able ta get installed durin' our stay. We are headin' back out along the Romulan border where things are still chaotic in the continuin' saga of button, button, who's got the bloody button of which faction is goin' ta come out on top and run what's left of Empire.

"The crew had a chance ta enjoy some much needed shore leave and even I got got in a couple days 'off the clock' as it were for a change. Especially after the unmitigated fiasco of the 'Schwebach Incident'. Ensign, now citizen, Silverback has chosen ta return ta his home world rather than face the admittedly dauntin' task of rebuildin' his life in Starfleet. I had preferred a long prison sentence, but my colleagues Captain Tekin and Captain Kirok believed in redemption. They felt reducin' Silverback ta crewman and havin' him go through extensive retrainin' would allow him ta learn from his mistake and perhaps build a decent career in the enlisted track.

"However, when asked what he felt was a fittin' punishment, he thought havin' ta return ta his 'tribe' in disgrace and ta have ta live with the spirits of the dead he was responsible for was more in line with his cultural beliefs. Captain Kirok was even kind enough ta take home. Thus ends the sad saga of Silverback's career in Starfleet. It still baffles me how someone so profoundly unfit for service was able ta complete the Academy in the first place. Perhaps his failure will help the Academy better screen potential cadets in the future. End Log."
