I'm happy that Picard 2 is coming soon.
I'm happy that 7 of 9 appears to be alive.

Picard, Q, Borg Queen, 7 of 9...what more could anyone possibly want! Excited for the next season.

I didn't even watch Season 1 until I bought it on DVD a few months ago. You're not alone.  (Yes, DVD. Not even BluRay).

I'm torn... I'm greatly concerned that the majority of the season will be set in 2020s Los Angeles.  I'd almost expect to see myself there (depending on what year they actually make it to), but also... thats going to run counter with Voyager's Los Angeles adventures in the nineties.

Also not sure how I feel of Q being the antagonist.

Of course I could be wrong about some of this but.. not sure.

I do agree with you there... Just that Picard's writers and most importantly Sir Patrick Stewart has insisted that the highest quality is maintained. The show has always felt an extension of TNG at its core.

While Picard has seen some shift towards the mass market entertainment segment, the fact that Picard remains committed to the Picard ethos is the only thing keeping me watching it. (But don't buy the books such as The Last Hope, that's "Young Adult Mass Market")
