Love or Something Like It (V-day themed party for ALL-family friendly)

Feeva just shook her head at Sven. If she'd read him, she'd have heard his attraction and such, but she made it a habit not to read her friends unless it was life-or-death or something. So she just chalked it up to nerves and a suspicion (correctly) that she'd try to set him up that night. Damn it, Sven, ruining her plans.

She moved on, starting to mingle, starting with Therem. She didn't know the man at all, so she introduced herself.

"Hello! I am Feeva Drylo, station's Counselor," she said, pulling herself to her full four feet eight inches. She smiled. "Nice to meet you!" She said. She took a cookie. It looked really good. She took a small bite. "Wow, they're really good. Did you make these?" She asked.

A dog was nearby. Yay. Feeva understood animals! She bent to pet the animal "Who do you belong to?" She asked the puppy. She smiled as it moved on. She smiled at Kinley. "Captain. I hope you're having a good night!" She said.

Kinley lost her drink, almost  her balance,  and nearly her grasp on the raptor as the dog came bounding towards her, "Woah doggo!" she said, her petite frame almost tumbling to the floor  under the sheer  amount of dog. The dog didn't mind, giving her copious amounts of kisses. "Hey, hey! good girl. Down!" she said, gently pushing the dog down before brushing off the fur from her now-soggy lab coat.

"If you could keep her down, it would be appreciated.  She can stay, but I don't want her to accidentally eat any chocolate tonight, y'know?" she said to Lilly, trying to ease the situation, all the while snagging one of Therem's cookies.

"That's pretty good!" she said. , enjoying the ambiance. "I didn't know burnt soup makes you feel at home, Therem. Might have to call up one of the Admirals to get cleared to make you some.  Though you might have better luck from the Raptor." she joked. "Where are you from, if I might ask? " she asked, genuinely curious as she noticed the situation happening in the back with Sven and Feeva.

"I lived on an ice planet called Gethen VI my whole life, only left about three years ago. Been bouncing around asteroids every since. Well, and Ciden IV."

Therem took a swig of the smoking cocktail and was surprised by the flavor. It tasted like some exotic fruit right before the burn of alcohol kicked in. It was a pretty stiff drink but still managed to taste pretty good.

"We've got 20-something words for different types of snow on Gethen. In the coldest months all you can eat are soups made from rehydrated ingredients, like mushrooms or moss. Depending on what you used it could taste good or it could taste like burnt water. So, you might be a natural cook when it comes to Getehn cuisine, Captain Garrison."
