[Ensign Lilly Hansen - Deck 1 - Tactical | USS Discovery]

Lilly was sensing something was wrong, She couldn't tell exactly, But someone was in fowl play on ether their side, Or the away team, Or both. Lilly now decided to gear up a little. She opened the compartment beneath her console and pulled a phaser out and strapped it her side, She made sure to hide it if the Captain came back. But she also made a choice. Contact Commander tr'Lhoell, Through his own little contact ear plants, She only knew about this due to two other crewmembers yapping like teenage girls during her break. She quickly used her comm badge and the tricorder to get some power boost, Plus making sure that no sensors on the station could detect it. She whispered so no one could hear her.
=/\= "Commander tr'Lhoell do you read me?......" =/\= If not, it would be a fail cause, But if he did, She needed to find the status of the away team cause something was not adding up.

[Bridge | USS Discovery]

"œHansen, target that Buoy. The moment its weapons systems activate, open fire." He ordered. "œAnd chuck me a phaser. Something is going down" he said with a slight smile. Her not so subtle attempt to arm herself inspired Dem to be prepared. Tekin was still in sickbay, the patients were being transferred to the brig,  Betaika wasn't responding to Dem's messages and Lek was arming himself for an invasion. And yet again he found himself sitting in the captains chair through the middle of it.

Quote from: Novi on April 01, 2024, 06:56:50 PM

[Ensign Novi - Station operations]

Novi was a little confused as too the First Officer's reaction. Her mind had so many different thoughts as she was thinking back and forth about various things. When Grippen relayed to her to prepare for returning to Discovery she got up from her seated position and unslung her medkit from her shoulder setting it on the ground. "Yes Commander. I am keeping my Medical Kit here in case something happens again. I will see about sending a replacement from Dr. Betaika."

=/\="Ensign Novi to transporter bay. 1 to beam up. Prepare sickbay for 1 injury." =/\=

A moment later she felt her molecules dematerialize and a moment later rematerialize on the Discovery and she quickly made her way to main sickbay.

[Main Sickbay]

Novi walked into main sickbay to a scene of a few medical officers quickly conducting an emergency procedure on a doctor going under an apparent overdose and some security officers leading the other doctors away. She frowned a little as she continued clutching her shoulder and took a seat on one of the free medical beds.

She saw the Captain present in sickbay looking very irritated. She wasn't a Vulcan but even she could tell the air in sickbay was very tense. Dr. Betaika was not far away so she quickly turned to him, "What's happened? Why are the doctors being led away like this?" it seemed despite her exitement sickbay was having its own crises to handle. Once she was healed she was ready to help out wherever she could.

But first things first, "Captain, Mrs. Tekin. If you don't mind may I take a detailed biological scan of you both? Once I am treated it shouldn't take more then a couple minutes. We've come across some interesting biological data and I just wish to make sure everything is okay." Probably best to not speak what she was thinking. The room was tense enough and something like people being clones would understandably make people defensive. Best to try and keep the air in the room as calm as possible.

[USS Discovery - Deck 9 - Main Sickbay]

The Captain watched the scientist with cool eyes.  He was no medical expert, but he was alert.  If this man survives at all, he would be comatose until he was taken to a more advanced medical center.  He inwardly smiled as his orders were being carried out.  One more issue taken care of.  His thoughts were only interrupted by the appearance of Dr. Novi and her request to scan him and Hrafn.  He gave her a weird, almost concerned look, but before he could respond the CMO stepped in and took her aside.  The Captain looked to his wife, and then back to Novi, and they both decided now was the best time to leave.  So they did.

As soon as they were out, he turned to Hrafn.  "I better contact Reyak.  We may need to move faster."

"I agree... you do that and get ready.  I'll head to the next location."

The two began walking and eventually separated, at which case Nevir tapped his comm badge.  "Secure channel access." he ordered, waiting for the chime.

=/\= "Tekin to Reyak.  Novi was transported to the ship, but she hasn't awoken yet. Instead she's showing suspicion about us and talking to the Chief Medical Officer.  We may need to change plans." =/\=

Just as Rayek was emerging from the vent feet first, unconcerned about how his medical gown from below was not covering much, a ping sounded from his ear implant.  Could there be worse timing? he wondered.  He heard Lilly's whispered message, frowning in reaction - why would she be needing to whisper was a concerning question.. but Rayek couldn't respond immediately as he was assessing the situation between Lorut and some fleeing scientist.

He landed in a crouch.  The Trill wasn't holding a weapon so didn't appear to be much of a threat; still... the Romulan trusted his Operations officer instincts - aggressive though they tended to be - far more than he did some nameless scientist.

"Stun her, Lieutenant Lorut." he ordered, in case she might hesitate with him being present.

He spotted Lieutenant Lachlyn and motioned for her to assist Lorut with the Trill.   Mentally, he was recalling the station schematic.  He turned towards the back of the room where the biometric door was.   Fvadt, maybe he shouldn't have ordered the woman stunned.

"Lieutenant Lorut.  Think you can bypass the biometric lock on that door?" he asked pointing towards the security door. "If not, find something to wake the woman up again - hopefully she has access."

Savyn was silent for a moment, his muscles growing stiff beneath the little boy's touch. Slowly, hesitantly, he wrapped his slightly lanky arms around Fvienn's small form, pulling him a bit closer. He'd never particularly enjoyed physical comfort, it had never appealed to him-- whether that was his Vulcan sensibilities or otherwise, he was unsure-- but this was... different. Fvienn seemed to make a lot of things seem different. Savyn wasn't sure what that meant.

"... Thank you..." He said finally, his voice barely above a whisper.

Fvienn beamed happily having helped Eneh's friend Savyn, feel better.   He tightened his hug a moment longer before turning to look towards the main treatment area where the adults were conversing.

Raised voices could be heard coming in through the still open doorway.  It sounded like the Captain was in trouble avoiding a medical appointment?  Fvienn wondered if the Captain was afraid of hyposprays - maybe he too could use a hug?

Risking being overheard, he accepted the call but lowered the volume to it's lowest setting.  His Vulcanoid hearing would pick it up, but hopefully not so the others.

Tekin came from the away team. For all we know they are all compromised." He fumed. He had grown to find her, palatable, over the few hours, but that was replaced with resentment. He believed that she was too headstrong to be in her position of power. Then again, he was wildly inexperienced yet taking command of the ship "" but judging by the communication he just received, a Romulan medical officer will be taking the bridge. Everyone found themselves in the middle of a very delicate situation. A bit later, after some curses in both Standard and Bajoran escaped her lips, and a few stamps of her feet, the inner door opened to a larger antechamber. As the door slid open, she squinted momentarily against the brighter lights. "What the FUCK?" She asked. She was looking at herself. Kind of.

If he was not in ops...Then who would acting as him in ops? Lilly had a deep feeling that Rayek was not in ops. But somewhere else on the station.

Rayek wasn't sure what to make of the Sec/Tac ensign's concerns.  Nor was he all that trusting of the ensign as a source.  If there was a real concern on the ship about the Captain, it should be the CMO or Lieutenant Broadshire contacting him, not an ensign.  However, Rayek couldn't merely dismiss the intel - given what he suspected they were dealing with.

He was about to thank the ensign for her report, when she continued on to say that she'd been secretly monitoring the comms.  This was a breach of protocol - especially for mission classified at this level.  It definitely warranted a reprimand... however she did also provide information that Rayek found useful.

Though he had been up in Ops recently, Rayek hadn't used the comms there at all, so his presence shouldn't have been traced there.   Hansen must be referring to the same message he'd overheard earlier - his voice informing the Captain that the Away Team was about to arrive at Ops (the prompt for him to leave there).

He was about to answer - that no he wasn't at Ops - when he recalled that the communications console had been monitoring all channels.  Was this current comm being monitored? he wondered; and if so by who?  His replicant self?

Rayek realized then, that he couldn't confirm anything to the ensign, as this might paint a target on the woman's back if overheard by his other self or Hrafn. The Romula thankfully was saved from having to make his ignoring of her question too obvious, as Dem's voice was heard in the background.

Afterwards while he waited for Lorut, to unlock the door.  He assisted Tanner with securing the Trill scientist.  He found Lorut's cursing in dual languages amusing and made mental note of the Bajoran ones he was unfamiliar with.  Later when the door opened, he moved to follow her in, only to come up short when she turned her weapon on him.

He slowly raised his hands to show he wasn't a threat... or appeared not to be a threat.  He glanced behind her an noted what appeared to be holding cells - much like those found in the Discovery's brig.  He craned his head to peer into the nearest, and finally understood her exclamation and questioning.  Lying prone on the holding cell's 'bed/bench' was a Bajoran woman looking exactly like Lorut garbed in a hospital gown much like his own.  Fvadt This was not good.

Rayek looked to the three officers who were in the Operation Center with him.   Had they overheard his comm with the Captain?  He hoped not.  Not that it should matter once they were 'activated'.  However, the Captain's statement that the medical officer was being troublesome even once she had arrived on the ship had Rayek wondering if the scientists here had gotten something wrong with the base programming of the clones.  He hoped it was just an anomaly.

He looked to the Vulcan and Caitian.   "The Captain needs your assistance.  I'll be transporting you back to the ship." he stated before turning back to the console to begin setting up the transport.

He looked over towards the Lieutenant Commander at the man's suggestion.  Having more people on the Discovery was not ideal... but securing them could alleviate some the issues.  The Vulcan and Caitian happily provided him with an excuse.

"No it does not; however, I don't intend to send them to the ship. Our engineer has the right of it.  That's an unnecessary risk.  Let's find locations to hold the station staff on the station.   House arrest - locked in their quarters, if nothing else." The Romulan reasoned.

As the medical officer prepared to beam out, suggesting they would send down another, Rayek shook his head. "The Away Team will do without a medical personnel for now."

He chuckled when she then called the ship for transport.  "I'll beam you back.  The ship still can't penetrate the shielding on the station to lock-on to your signal."  He moved to the console and sent the Trill medic back to the ship.

"Commander,  I want you on the Security console... locking down every room on the station. I'll be at Ops and do a scan.. locating personnel and operating the transporter."

[Station, Ops]

"Aye, commander..." Malik did as ordered and began to lock down the entire station. No one would be able to move unless they forced the doors or blasted them open. He issued a station-wide hail to everyone aboard =/\= "This is Starfleet. Security Lockdown is in effect until we resolve the unrest. Remain where you are." =/\=

It was about time they gained control of the situation and stopped the killing.

Rayek understood Broadshire's concern and would have ordered the same, still he needed to get a warning to them if he could. He thought quickly.

=/\= "Tell Broadshire that I'll want a raincheck on tonight's 21st Century movie night. The day has been too much like oblivion," =/\= Rayek remarked casually, stressing the last word of his sentence, then opted to cut the comm himself.  He hoped someone on the bridge might pick up on his movie clue.

"It would appear that one of you is a clone. Which is which - I honestly don't know."

Dem was sure he had organized his movie night for next week, but given the circumstances it was obvious that there was a hidden meaning. Oblivion"¦ A Thomas Cruise film, a laughable attempt to predict the future of humanity. He had only read the synopsis, as he intended to watch it in the holodeck with a few friends after this mission. Tapping on the side of his chair, muttering under his voice he tried to piece together what the commander could be insinuating. "œAh ha! The enemies from the film were pretending to be humans. Tekin, no someone is pretending to be him. We have imposters on board." Dem spoke louder, opening a channel to Betaika. "œIncapacitate the captain. He is not what he seems" Dem said, hopeful that he pulled the right meaning from Rayek's ambiguous statement.

Doctor Betaika

[Sickbay | USS Discovery]

"œCaptain, please submit to a scan by Novi." Betaika stated firmly, exasperated as the couple walked out of sickbay. "œIn fact I order you to. Failure to comply will result in me relieving you of duty." He heard the whole sickbay go quiet as his voice resonated around the room. He looked over to Novi. He was steadfast in his decision. He was confidant he made the right one. He glanced down at his PADD to confirm his conversation was transmitted to the bridge. Head of security and Broadshire were informed about his actions.

Tekin sighed, before turning around to face the doctor.  "With all due respect, Doctor, I'm trying to keep this ship from being taken over by treasonous Intelligence operatives.  I'll be happy to submit to a scan, but once I am sure my ship is secure." he explained, turning and about to walk down the hall.

Damn.... he thought, as he glanced back at the CMO as the sick doors closed.  Once they were, he reached out and hit the secure lock on the door.  Probably wouldn't detain Sickbay long, but enough time.  The Bajoran ran.

=/\= "Tekin to Reyak and Hrafn.  Novi has compromised us.  I'm activating Starfleet's Pegasus protocol.  We need to initiate Phase 3 immediately. Recommend Betaika, Broadshire, and Lek.  Especially Betaika." =/\= he stated, jumping into an empty turbolift.

"Beta Bridge." he ordered, as the turbolift moved, and then he took a breath.  =/\= "Computer, this is Captain Tekin Nevir.  Voiceprint authorization Tekin-Omega-Two-Two-One.  Initiate the Pegasus Protocol." =/\=

Throughout the ship, the Red Alert sounded as consoles locked out throughout the ship.  Command codes were restricted.  Doors closed and secured the vital sections of the ship, and the personnel quarters were locked.  That would prevent a good two-thirds of the ship from interfering, and he just needed to deal with the senior staff and Alpha shift.

Hrafn meanwhile had just reached the Armory, and used the Captain's codes to access a phaser and rifle.  She made quick work, moving through the ship and reaching Main Engineering.

"Lek! Secure the warp core.  The Captain and I have discovered that we have been infiltrated.  We need to secure Engineering!"

Lek

[Main Engineering - USS Discovery

Lek heard the red alert and figured things were going from bad to worse. He would have set up a self-destruct sequence if he could, but he couldn't do it without the Captain and First Officer. So, he had to settle for the precautions he'd already put in place. When an armed woman he didn't know, entered engineering half a dozen phasers swung her way. What Lek hadn't told anyone outside, but the engineers were more than just armed. They'd replicated plates of tritanium and welded them into improvised strong points. No one was going to take any engineering space without a serious fight.

"I don't know who you are, but if you don't drop those weapons, if you blink, you will hit the deck in the dark."
