Kirok's right eyebrow arched dramatically when he heard the name 'Alitnar.'  He knew that name too well.  Alitnar was the name of the Chief Overseer that Kirok had been negotiating with to get the new Starbase approve.

Alitnar was a Karemma.  They controlled the markets in the Gamma Quadrant much like the Ferengi had tried to do in the Alpha Quadrant.  Alitnar had apparently hired the mercenaries in an attempt to put the plans for Katra on hold or possibly destroy them completely.

But Kirok kept this information to himself.  For the moment, at least.  He would share it with the crew when they were done with the crew of the Resolute.

[Resolute - NPC]

Marzo frowned and looked down.  He was out of time.  "It's Chief Overseer Alitnar" he said.  "Now can we go?" he asked.

[Bridge]

Judy had but one more thing to do with Marzo now - humiliate him in one final verbal blow. She contemplated deconstructing him in verse (sung, rapped, or slammed), in a withering speech, or just a knock-knock joke, but then she found a better punchline: his sartorial choices.

"Yes, just one more question," Judy stated. "Is that a woman's suit?"
She let off a big, loud laugh at her question, as Marzo peered down at his clothes. His suit was cut like a woman's suit - Judy of all people would know.

Sadly. Don could not think of that race that Wesley came across in Starfleet Academy. The one with the webbing between the fingers. That had made Don try observe the Counselor's fingers. Was she one of those people. Which he could not put his tongue on.

He found her joke not funny. However, every man for their own. Or the saying should be now. Every being for them self. Least she amused herself. In her small ego bubble that she seemed to enjoy. One day something will come along and pop it. Then that day she possible feel someone pooped right on her rank.

He had waited. He was even was insulted how she had told him to focus on his station. His advice was for protecting the crew. That was his duty. Protect the crew.

The day she will fall. He had hoped he would witness. That be a day for him. Smirking came upon his face. Which will add to the floral princess response the other person on the bridge.

The view screen when black.  The ship made a small turn.  Then stared to move off.

[Lirpa - Bridge]

"I am inclined to let them leave unharmed" Kirok suggested.  "The man he mentioned is on Karemma.  We may be able to contront him before the negotiation wind down if we leave now" he added.

[Inzjana]

[Resolute - Marzo]

BRIDGE | SCIENCE STATION ONE

"It is of course your decision Admiral," Inzjana stated, confused at his reaction, "But with all due respect sir, these mercenaries have committed various crimes against the Federation, including theft of a decommissioned starship, kidnapping of a Federation citizen, firing on a Starfleet vessel with intent, profiteering and attempt to subvert the course of negotiations. These are serious crimes, sir."

Inzjana then looked at the status of the Quantum Slipstream Drive and added, "If we Slipstream to the Bajoran wormhole, we can make the negotiations in plenty of time and confront this person they mentioned, sir."
