As the Valour neared the Borg cube, Zex made her way over to a duty station.  "I'm going to start looking for bio signs for our crew.  Permission to beam them aboard when I get locks on their signatures?" the Deltan called out.

The Death of Borg saw the feeble human with a phaser.  With little thought he began charging at the human.  Using his claws he tried to impale the human near his stomach.

The creature move with almost lighting fast speed.  It was enhanced with more speed and strength than a regular gorn.  The corridor was simple.  He could see that they were attempting to do something, but he did not care.  The Borg and the Queen's plans were flawless.

"You...weak....you are like parasites...need to terminate your life"  The Borg Gorn said

[Corridor, before the Queen is disconnected]

Jettis was mildly awed by the inside of the Borg cube. It was so... cold. It send shivers through him. It was barren, lifeless, because that's exactly what it was. People didn't live inside the ship - machines operated inside the ship. There was no personal touch, no decorations, just cold, clear efficiency. The Borg had no need for comfort.

Pulling himself from his thoughts, he focused fully on the task at hand, even though he had been running on autopilot before, quickening his step through the Corridor. He wasn't interested in being here any longer than necessary.

He was B-lining it for the nearest spot where they were supposed to place the bombs, when he heard Leonard call out to him. Twisting around, this time his actions were faster than his mind, as he ripped his phaser out of its holster, raising his arm and aiming.

He wasn't too far away from Scott, but far enough that he could fire at the Borg from a different angle. So he trusted Scott to go for the obvious kill-shot, and instead leveled his rifle with the Borg's attachments. Namely the lines that connected to his eyepiece, that would be at least one thing to their advantage, if Scott failed to hit his target, and they were going to have to go hand-to-hand.

With that shot fired off, he dropped his stance and looked for something spare lying around to fight with. But it was impossible to find - the ship was so immaculate, the word "spare parts" was probably foreign to the borg. Everything was in use. So he supposed, if the borg wanted to come after him, he would sprint for it, to place his bombs. Coming up with an idea of destroying the threat could be done while running. He was here to get his job done, not necessarily to survive it.

Trying to make eye contact with Leonard, he nodded slightly, bracing himself to run - either towards, or away from the borg.

[Corridor, before the Queen is disconnected]

As soon as Jettis was at the ready, Leo looked over and gave a nod.

"Look here, you giddy lank," he spouted off, "it's time for that long good night!"

With that, he fired his rifle off and it impacted near the eyepiece.

"Jettis, fire!"

"As much as I would love to grant permission for that," T'Ra replied to the doctor, "the plan of action, as it currently stands, involves detonating the ship. It may not be in our best interest to beam them back. But if you would send out a signal to the pods, asking that they reactivate their homing beacons, that would be much appreciated." Turning to Galloway, she added, "How much time remaining, Mr. Galloway?"

Ian replied from the Ops station where he had moved as the Valour closed on the Cube. As a reply to the Admiral's question, he activated the anti-proton beam which caused the Borg ship to shudder and drop out of warp. When the Cube stopped, he quickly shifted to the Conn station, he replied tersely as he concentrated on piloting.

"If it was up ta me Sir, I'd say nae more than one minute. However, you have the command codes Admiral, thus I cannot set the self-destruct sequence. I can second, but we need ta do this quickly. Thirty seconds, nae more than a minute."

Even though 40,000 kilometers sounded far, at full impulse, the Valour covered that distance in seconds and the Cube grew impossibly large as Ian drove the ship into the huge crater the deflector dish weapon made. Using the thrusters to their fullest, Ian threw the Valour into what was once called a skid and slid into the opening sideways. Once in place, he activated both the fore and aft tractor beams to hold the Valour in place.

"No time ta waste Sir. We have ta activate the self-destruct now!

[Cube]
The background noise of the Borg  were getting louder, but she was getting better at filtering through the constant noise. Using her influence with the Collective, she attempted to block the conversation by diverting the Collective's attention, but among the Borg, privacy was next to nonexistent.    "It's me, Garrison. Well, at least mostly. I'm still trying to pick up the pieces."  She wanted to ask  her mysterious "pen pal's" name, but for now, didn't. The new information that came to her was rather alarming. "That doesn't sound good. How long do you think we have? "
Turning to Captain Hawke, she said with a note of urgency. " "Captain, we need to get out of this cube NOW. ""

He noticed the Science Officer informing him to get out of the ship.  James attempted to help the Science Officer up and responded "I think you are right...I had enough of this hot Sauna"  James said with a sense of humor.
He noticed that she was weaker and took her arm and placed it around his shoulders.  He would be guiding her for the time being.  James wondered what was going on, on her head, but in short that did not matter.

James gave a slight smile and nooded. =/\= "Mr. Scott and Mr. Jyur, we got the package and are ready to go to the rendezvous point, get ready to blow this place to hell =/\=

James walked in the corridor, hoping that there was some sort of plan.  "Let's try and get out of here"  James said.
[Corridor]

With Kinley with his arm he tried to move as fast as he could.  The Borg started to become more hostile and the was trying to run and avoid them.  "Where are they?"  James asked looking for the rest of the team.

While the Queen's back to him, EQ took advantage of the situation.  He walked up behind her and reached around and grabbed the left upper and right lower strapped of the backpack.  He pulled them back and clipped them together around a pipe on the vinculum - attempting to pull the Queen away from the console in the process.
As the Queen headed to the console to attempt to stop the plan.  She felt straps pullign her away from the process.  "I WILL REMEMBER THIS!!!  YOU MIGHT DESTROY MY BODY...BUT I WILL COME BACK....I WILL HUNT DOWN  THE FEDERATION AND I WILL FIRST TARGET EARTH"  She yelled at EQ

Trying to fight the process she attempted slowly to get to the console.  She was crawling slowly...maybe there was a hope to avoid their fate.

The Death first a small blast at his eyes.  He began shierkin as he was blinded with the blast.  "I CAN'T SEE!"  Death yelled.

Somehow he was immune to the damage of the riffle.  But he was blinded by the blast.  He was still alive.  Moving his arms from side to side in the corridor hoping to pierce the human that shot him in the eyes.

He moved without a purpose trying to locate his target but he was blind for the moment.

James held Kinsley up as he began to wonder his options.  "You know EQ, if you have any great ideas...I'm all ears"  James stated

He normally have an idea for almost everything but he was fast running out of them.  If they did not leave the ship soon they would either die from the blast or the radiation.  Even thought it would take out a lot of Borg he would prefer to make it our alive.

With a moment of bravery he turned into a bold face into EQ and Kinley and said to them.  "Ladies and Gentlemen...this is where we make our last stand!  It has been an honor" James said as he looked at them.  He gave a faint smile.  "Let's give them hell!"

T'Ra briefly raised a hand, signaling for patience. She was more than conscious of the time constraint involved, each second bringing them exponentially closer to the point of no return. But there was also a certain level of danger in acting too quickly.

Zex suddenly called out, reporting life signs, specifically those of Captain Hawke and likely those of the away team. Sure enough, the captain's patched through, causing T'Ra to once again arch a brow. Such colorful language from one about to be rescued. No matter. "Beam them aboard, Ensign. It seems there is no longer any need to destroy the ship." And to Zex, she added, "If you would send out a call for all escape pods to return, that would be much appreciated."

As the captain materialized, T'Ra regarded him. "For the record, Captain, we returned on my orders, which supersede yours."

He heard her reaction and sighed in the voidspace. "Well seeing as I'm tied down to a table with a crazy Vulcan deciding to dissect me or save me, my options are rather limited." he said, knowing she understood the message. If all else failed he'd done his best to save them. A certain more... human tone had come back into his voice, but the noise of the collective threatened the link. He had time to send one last message to his new friend. "I'm an engineer, I'll figure it out. Alex out." he said, as he finally terminated the link himself. His eyes snapped open and he looked to T'Prina. "I believe it is time to leave."

[Lab]

She had already begun disabling the restraints when he spoke to her. "Crazy Vulcan indeed." The rest of the tie downs fell away from Alex and he was freed. Probably wouldn't assimilate her, but she still kept her distance.

"I have not killed you, though logic dictates I should have. You are fortunate my curiosity out weighed my common sense. I don't know what you plan to do from here, Alex, but I would like to offer you my assistance, if you wish. But I believe evacuation is in order."

Ian immediately dropped the tractor beams and fed power to the thrusters to move the Valour out of the crater. As soon as the ship was clear, the inertial dampeners strained as the Ian went to full impulse.

"Aye Sir, I've nae heard of Borg usin' subterfuge. They signaled us that the away team was dead, so self destruct seemed like our last option. I'm glad the old girl gets ta see another day."

Just as he was about to take the Valour to warp, Ian exclaimed.

He didn't say anything, but his emotions were a waterfall. He tapped into the Federation comms channels and hailed the bridge.

James appeared on the Valour.  Some of the damage of the fight has been fix but it was still in rough shape.  He looked at see the rest of the team and he wondered "Where is the rest of the team?  Where Kiney, I was carrying her?"  He asked

James looked at the view screenen and noticed the plan was working the Borg Cube was being destroyed their bombs initiated the chain reaction to the destruction.

The mission was getting done they completed their main objective.  He heard the Vice-Admiral "Vice-Admiral, I did not want to but the rest of the crew in more jeopardy, but thanks for the assist, that was very brave, just try not to do it again"  As he finished he gave a slight smile to the Admiral.  Even though she was Vulcan, he was truly appreciative of it.
